Are Italians considered white?
Depends on who you ask
Although always predominantly and formally considered white within the United States, throughout the majority of American history Italians' whiteness was often brought under scrutiny.
Their predecessors differ regionally, but generally include native populations such as the Etruscans, the Rhaetians, the Ligurians, the Adriatic Veneti, and the Italic peoples, including the Latins, from which the Romans emerged and helped create and evolve the modern Italian identity.
Which is why you have Pale Blue-Eyed and Blonde Italians and Dark Ones
Out of all Southern European countries, Italy has the most blonde hair and blue eyes. Far more than Iberia.
Look at Leonardo Di Capricciosa, Django, Terence Hill etc

Then you have Joe manganiello

and then you have really dark italians
