I've met a number of celebrities throughout my life and many weren't cool at all.

Yes, cool tale, OMR. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve always been a Vince fan. Just a character. And a true MAN.

Is he perfect? Of course not. I have zero doubt he’s messed around with plenty of women, etc. Big deal.

As far as how he’s showing his age, it seems everyone has “that” age after which the decline grows considerably more steep.

As well, he’s been a target for decades for all sorts of slings and arrows.

It compounds on the aging body.

Vince is a legend (a word used far too frivolously these days) and doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone.

My dad is 80 and a week ago not that it was heavy but we carried a 65 inch TV in the box up about 20 steps into my apartment. My dad still works out five days a week. He gets up at 4:35 in the morning, it works out.

Vince has been an alpha male role model for nearly 50 years. He still is the man.

The man is a genius.

Look at it this way. Without him the 1980's-2020's would have not been as fun for generations of people. Much like Marvel had Stan Lee to create a universe of superheroes and mutants that saturated comic books for the enjoyment of children and young adults alike, TV had a Vince McMahon to bring to life these larger-than-life characters like Hulk Hogan who revolutionized wrestling entertainment. He provided a platform and created characters (along with his creative team) the likes of "The Rock", "The Undertaker", "Stone Cold Steve Austin", "Venom Vince Versace" and "Roddy Piper". Every WWF/WWE event was like a 1-hour movie that you would get to watch every week, sometimes twice per week. Truth be told, I only watched from the 1980's through the early 1990's and then felt it was becoming too fantastical and couldn't enjoy it as much due to the insane theatricality. That said, the Hogan story line for Wrestlemania 3 where he "faced" Andre The Giant was very entertaining.

Listen to the recent Hogan and Kurt Angle podcasts on Rogan / you will get a lot of stuff on Vince.  Dude is a legend / still works out with a trainer at like 2 am once the shoes are done.

Vince is ill. Pretty obvious moon face from meds and still out there.

The difference between even 70 and almost 80 is a lot. Vince is the same age as my dad - who has slowed down A LOT in the last 5-6 years.

Consider also Vince's father didn't even see 70 and died from pancreatic cancer with no PED history.

He looks like he's enduring immense pain that would leave a lesser mortal confined to bed. Look at his face; I don't think he has dementia or something, but he seems like he's just trying to bear that pain, just from standing straight, I guess. As the once-great Arnold said, "Aging is shit!" Actually, for such physical specimens, it is hell!

There he is at 70.

8 years ago. His face has always looked pretty old though, I think the mustache makes him look older.

There is no getting around the fact that there is a huge fall off between 70 and 80. Vince looked phenomenal at 70. It is why you see ten to fifteen 70-72 year olds at the various Masters National competitions every year, and some look superb, and only maybe one 80 year old. Vince is no different from the rest of humanity.

He’s had a lot of injuries in his 70s that likely slowed him down. Apparently some serious back surgeries.

I think he's fine for 78, even somewhat spry. Here he is at 75 - https://twitter.com/i/status/1416293723944538115 , you can see the age creeping into his face some, and that's pretty candid, no make up or film / photo magic to hide flaws. As mentioned, the moustache makes him look older too.

Also, with the amount of legal ins and outs he's been going through the last couple of years, age from stress is going to start showing no matter what.

Lifted heavy for too long and messed himself up structurally. Squatting heavy, in particular, eventually Fvcks you up. In addition to spinal surgery Vince  tore both his quads. Shane did the same.

I’ve come to the conclusion that sticking to bodyweight squats are the way to go for older lifters. 4 sets of 20 every 4-5 days and you’re good.

The 70's are brutal! You can workout and eat right but by age 75 the DNA starts to unravel. None of us are getting out of this alive.

Transfusions with young blood (the younger the better) will significantly combat aging… but you didn’t hear that from me. :-X
