Rep Fitness Power Rack Functional Trainer Lat Pull Full Cage
« on: October 29, 2023, 04:55:14 PM »
So I have been looking and I kind of like this one. It's a full cage for squatting but also a functional trainer and lat pull down/ low row. Pretty reasonably priced after all my selections still came in just under 2k which is same price for rack without functional trainer lat pull from Rogue. Or that may be additional to the 2700 ares not sure. They also offer assembly installation service.

https://repfitness.com/products/ares-cable-attachment-builder

Anyone else ever use Rep equipment? Or any functional trainer lat pull cage combo from anyone else?

I have a titan fitness cable crossover now that is plate loaded I thought the stacks would be nicer and I want a full cage for squatting. It even has an optional belt squat attachment

I have never been banned from a gym in my life. Why do I have to tell you the same thing 1000 times. You just want to argue about lies you make up.  I prefer working out at home that is why I have thousands of dollars in home gym equipment.

My buddies apartment gym had Rep equipment in it and it was good stuff, solid and smooth. I would have no problem buying Rep. I used it weekly for a year or more.

Buy a $300-$400 rack on Amazon that will handle 1000 lbs.

Do pullups on your current power tower or install a pullup bar for $100.

Save your money for the divorce lawyer you will need.

Nice man,

Have you looked into the squat platforms with this cage

Would be a nice addition for the trap bar dead and squats you plan to do.

I put together every piece in my home gym. Looking at that monster it would save you a lot of aggravation if you could pay someone to put it together.

Many years ago I bought a big swing set for my kids and the place told me it would take about 2 hours to put it together. I thought better and paid the extra money for them to do it. Two guys and it nearly took them around 5 plus hours.

Maybe not for the animals here but I saw a pretty nice functional trainer at Costco minus the squat power rack. It was $1500 and I was tempted. Had the pull up, two weight stacks, bench and some accessories.

.

Big Bhank getting the model with lots of balls, let them never say he neglects the balls.

Seriously Rep is good stuff, maybe 1/2 a step down from Rogue at most. Every thing I've seen from current production bench and rack wise has been strong, well made, and decently thought out. Rogue honestly wouldn't be a huge step up in my opinion. Next set up would be Power Lift, Sorinex, Williams/EliteFTS, etc.... But that would be a decent sized jump in cost.

True iron warriors have been banned from at least one gym in their lives. It's called paying your dues.

Oh yeah one reason I am looking at rep is they offer assembly service I am not going to put together a full rack and pulley system myself would be a real pain

Have to wait until summer when I move but that is what I want for the new gym. They also have cool custome squat deadlift platforms you can get for these

What planning I do squat and trap bar dead’s every week now. I have a squat stand setup outside now. But yes absolutely I am looking at a custom squat dead platform to go with it.

Rep stuff is solid.

Always see them as a cheaper, good alternative to rogue stuff.

Bhanky,

You didn't work on your racecars so it's doubtful you could handle assembling this complicated Rep equipment.

Too many nuts and bolts for your skills.

I just don't want to spend all day putting it together. I actually took an 8 week 40 hour a week class in Nascar Stock Car fabrication went and stayed in an extended stay hotel for 2 months to attend the program. That is where I learned to weld. I can mig and tig weld. I did a lot of work on my racecars.

2 hours max.

It's all lag bolts for the most part.

So, for you that day, instead of 15 minutes in the gym, it's 2 hours and 15 minutes.

He might tear another pec or tricep while doing the assembly.
