Joe Roark-

Your post was not very informative.

Schmidt is 1 reason I canceled my 7 year subscription to Flex magazine a while back.

If you actually have some insight into Mr. Schmidt's writing style, why he writes that way, etc., please let us know.

tx,

bb doc.

I have no insight into opinions, and I prefer not to argue over opinions.

Julian's writing belongs in a scientific journal or a poetry book - not a mainstream periodical whose reading level is at the 8th grade level (this is not an insult- most major newspapers are also geared for the 8th grade level).

MD manages to deliver scientific content using everyday terms.  WHy can't FLEX do that?  I know it feels good to use really big words- but if you're turning off readers, you're generating more grammatical masturbation and less reader satisfaction.    And why are you in business if not for reader satisfaction?

At least his writing style is something different. But, then again, I haven't read one of his articles in years. I might not be so amused by it now.

I'm just joking with you ;D. Although I would laugh if Joe beat you up ;D.

I would laugh if Joe beat anyone up. :D  I'm pretty sure I could take him though.  But with all the bashing I have done in this thread I will say, Joe is one the best business men that ever lived.  He took something that basically had no market, and turned it into a multi-million dollar business.  He was also smart enough to know what he had when he met a guy Arnold.

I agree. Building a "sport" from pretty much nothing is impressive. I admire him for getting out while the getting was good.
