I'm not a fascist or anything, but if I had my way anyone rambling about climate change would instantly lose their ability to fly or drive, 10 seconds after they get on with that garbage.
What they really mean is "climate change is a problem, as long as poor people can consume what rich people can consume".
My Inlaws try to preach to me about climate change, I don't drive I've had no interest in driving since the age of 20-21. I think climate change is an issue on the verge of giving up beef because of CO2 omissions, but my patients for being preached to is near zero. If you think climate change is an existential crisis, you wouldn't get in a car anymore than someone paranoid about aids would jump on a homeless man's cock.
My mother in law flies across continent 2-3 times a year. My father in law, can walk to work, but he needs to drive to and jog in the pristine Pacific Northwest rain forests, so he can preach about how "the man" is trying to pave over those same forests.
My sister in law banned camp fires in her home town because of the carbon footprint. Meanwhile she has to have a car so you can drive 12 hours a weekend to ski resorts, or kayaking experiences.
These aren't pipe fitters, welders, carpenters etc who need trucks to keep the lights on. They all work in service industries that don't require cars.
