Reading a few news articles about it. Immediately after the story broke he went to his church and maybe even issued a public statement that he planned on continuing as mayor and finishing his term. The pics were for fun and fantasy that him and his wife engaged in. Said he's been crossdressing since a teenager.
Then the next day he shoots himself. Apparently friends and family were worried and the sheriff tried to find him. A deputy does find him and tries to pull him over but he doesn't stop. They don't call it a pursuit but it goes on for awhile. He finally pulls over and gets out of the car and 'takes his own life.'
Seems like some strange details to me. He went from handling fairly well day 1 to killing himself day 2 after a pursuit with sheriff deputies?
My guess is the Scott may be on to something. There may be more to come. The 'fantasy' he wrote about on reddit involved 'transitioning' into a specific woman from their town, a hair stylist, in his fantasy he becomes this woman, takes her identity, kills her then goes on to live with the woman's husband.
That's a pretty twisted fucking fantasy. He was using the woman's real name in his writings. So, who the fuck knows what else this weirdo was upto.
It’s not that odd, lots of people who plan on committing suicide don’t let it on beforehand. As for the deputies pursuing him, they probably got called on a welfare check or because the guy was threatening suicide, and it ended up in a vehicle chase.
Seems pretty straightforward to me, guy has “odd” sexual fantasies that aren’t acceptable in his community, his secret gets exposed, and he kills himself out of shame. Who gives a shit if he likes to dress up as a woman in his free time.
Personally, I’ll save my outrage for sexual deviants who prey on children and other unconsenting individuals.
