If they allow there to be a primary against the sitting female African-American Vice President they will lose that entire crucial voting block which guarantees a loss.  It won't happen, even though I believe you are correct that he would beat her.

That's a big assumption. The economy was humming with Trump before covid hit. No world conflicts during Trump. Lowest border crossings in many decades during Trump's reign. Even got North Korea to stop testing ICBM's. Zero American Troops deaths in Afghanistan for one year during Trump. Watch the next thing will be China invading Taiwan.  Did you check the gas prices compared to Trump?  We were a oil net exporter. It's a fair point because I wasn't clear.  Even if he "chose" to step down, it won't work and will just confirm what most suspect, that he was an incompetent lie and that was known to all involved.  This will cost them way more votes.  The only way it works is if he dies in his sleep.  Also Trump destroys either Kamala or Newsom anyway.  America ain't California.
