McGregor Speaks Out on Immigration

A 23-year-old high school teacher and musician, Murphy, was murdered by Slovakian immigrant Jozef Puska while walking alongside the Grand Canal in Tullamore, County Offaly, in January 2022. Puska, who was also a sex offender in his native country, was arrested earlier this month and sentenced to life by a unanimous jury in a Dublin court.

Puska was reportedly unemployed and living on welfare since arriving in Ireland (for 10 years), which has raised criticism regarding the influx of immigrants into the country. McGregor also voiced his opinion on the same issue, calling for a new system to keep a check on immigrant activity in a since-deleted tweet.

“I'll say it! What sort of ridiculousness was/is it to allow that sort in to our country? Ireland is not a revolving door, nor even attached to other nations! It is a stand alone island among the greatest of all Gods beautiful creations,” he wrote.

Canada and some blue states are rushing to say criminals are mentally ill so they can shut them up with all the freebies of welfare if they behave.

I live in NJ and what I have seen are the Mexicans that came over with no assistance from the government worked like dogs and many are doing well. They would stand on a street corner and roofers, house framers, painters, handy men and landscapers would pick them up for work for cash. When they learned the business they would open their own business doing the same. I see them all the time in my retirement job coming in with fantastic cars and their own work trucks.

Clearly high-skill immigrants do well when they come to the U.S. They innovate and are entrepreneurial, thus providing benefits to our society. Low-skill immigrates do not contribute the same benefit to society as high-skill immigrants. We need to accept the reality that the migrants crossing our southern boarder as well as their kids are not going to be the bio-engineers and nanotechnologists of 2040. The pro-immigration people fail to recognize this reality.

Additional - I just read that in (Northern) Ireland, the Garda PSNI are now investigating someone who sprayed 'Irish Lives Matter' on a dumpster as a hate crime!  Not vandalism, leading to a slap on the wrists, but something with potentially much worse consequences...
