Wow. Some bad blood there. Did he stole your girl back then?
No girl I ever dated would have left me for a bloated, loud mouth, insecure bodybuilding midget.

It’s partly Ronnie’s fault, and partly the fault of his doctors. It’s his doctors’ fault for doing this to him, and Ronnie’s for letting them.

Be very cautious of any type of spinal surgery. The cure is usually worse than the disease.

After the first operation he should have gotten another orthopedic surgeon. He repeatedly when back to the same doc.

My wife got spinal cord surgery being in horrible pain for a year.  She saw about six doctors until we found a guy that was well know for his great outcomes with her situation.  He did a four hour operation and every week after the operation she felt better. He removed the disks between her vertebrae and replaced them with rubber. He then bolted the spine together so it would stay in place. Since the bones of her spine wasn't crunching the nerves anymore the pain was gone. She felt all the pain in her arm.  The neurosurgeon found something all the other doctors couldn't figure out. The pain was coming from a crunched nerve in her neck that controlled the arm.  Uncrunch the nerves and no more pain and the strength came back to her arm. I don't know who Ronnie hired but I'm willing to bet it was a general orthopedist who claims he can fix shoulders, elbow, knees, feet, hands and spines. Nope, get a specialist. The orthopedist that operated on my arm only did arms and hands. Nothing else.

I like Ronnie, but he did this to himself. They had him fixed up pretty good with the caveat not to lift heavy, etc..... As soon as he could he was in the gym bending and snapping surgical bolts.  Can only fix anything so many times before it wears out :(.

Ronnie's weird low IQ and happy go lucky attitude was the reason he was able to do so well in bodybuilding.

Only a moron would do all the drugs that produced his body.

It also caused him to fuck his back up to this point. He lifted like a retard during his career and even after his first surgery.

I don't even think he needed to lift so heavy during his career.

This. I believe he had to replace his hips twice due to wear.

His back was a few times. Even videos of him saying HE BROKE THE SCREWS because he was lifting too heavy. They had to go back in and put bigger screws in place.

Why is it so hard to believe that a guy who grew up in the 1980's had to live in the closet most of his life?
In high school I had both a "girlfriend" (a front to friends and family) and a boyfriend who was my "best friend". Get it?

Makes you wonder if living a strenuous life is the way to go:

One made it to 100, the other is in his 90s. Neither has done a strenuous workout in their lives

Interesting little sidebar on Warren Buffett: for a period as a teenager he was into bodybuilding, but to the eternal benefit of his net wealth, and maybe longevity as well as you suggest,  soon realized he didn't have the genetics for it

Excerpts from the biography "The Snowball: Warren Buffett and the Business of Life":

_______________

His real obsession was weight lifting and Bob Hoffman. He spent most of his free time down in the
basement. A few weeks later, when school was out, he could wait no longer. He had to meet his idol, Uncle Bob. "He was it: I had to see him in person."

However, in the end, Warren’s fascination with numbers won out.

“You know, you kept measuring that biceps to see if it’d gone from thirteen to thirteen and a quarter
inches. And you were always worried whether you were loosening up the tape or anything. But I never
improved from looking like the Charles Atlas ‘before’ picture. I think my biceps went from thirteen inches
to thirteen and a quarter inches after thousands of curls.

The Big Arms book didn't do me much good"

Hearn and Cutler have a more robust bone structure. Cutler especially looks like a Neanderhal Flintstone asset.
Ronnie on the other hand always seemed kinda frail despite having big hands - relative to his genetics he could have gotten all the big muscle with way less weight... seems he bought his own bullshit of being an "invincible" babymomamaker.

From Colman to Oldman.
