I fear you are very prophetic in this case my friend.
But I honestly think she is a cute kid caught up in the sport and hope against hope that once she wins it all she goes on to cut back on the body weight and the weight room and live a more normal life. She is quite Teutonic in looks and I think if she does cut down after competing she will be an attractive Woman with a look many Men with Germanic DNA find exactly to their taste. A modern version of a Valkyrie? Perhaps?
Actually, I've posted a pic of what was as seen as ideal then, might have even been from German materials, not sure. But your choice for genetically strong and healthy children was for the wife to not be some waiflike weak woman. Childbirth required a sturdy woman who could endure a lot, a strong woman. Strong base with strong legs and relatively large feet. Wide hips so she could even pass a child and not die. I think even then some thought the beauty standards for women were miguided, if a believer in their eugenics. The drawing of this ideal was like a, "is this man or woman" type of of look.
Personally I think a very waiflike constitution isn't attractive. There needs to be some resistance, some strength. Therefore a trained woman is always more attractive to me, forget the steroids, this is not about that. BUT my observation is also that a woman who just dabbles with tiny doses can make herself more attractive initially until the androgenization gets to be too much.
