Addiction is a disease and some of it is inherited meaning there maybe little that can be done to control it
Some people once hooked will never get off the train. It has little to with willpower, neuroscience has shown that changes happen in the brain on a neuronal level. If anything, people who get sober should be praised. How seductive it must be to lose yourself in drink and drugs and avoid reality.
So they cannot get over addiction through sheer willpower? I like alcohol, but as soon as I am buzzed, and that can be
one drink in at times, I will stop drinking!
I like food, yet I got to 5% bodyfat, stage shape, despite nearly losing my fucking mind and being unable to sleep more than five total hours for weeks!
