Have you ever had a friend that...
« on: December 26, 2023, 07:10:05 PM »
Once they got married, they turned into a total fucking beta male (perhaps they were always one), began taking on characteristics unlike them, let their wives run them around, control them and ultimately change them into someone you don't know to the point that you lose respect for them?

It's some sad shit. He's in too deep. They have children and his nuts are locked away.  Of course he doesn't see it and there's no showing him a mirror. Anyway, that's all.

I’m truly the only one I know that this didn’t happen to. I told my wife at the beginning I will always do what I want when I want and I will never change and I haven’t.

My brother married a doctor and it basically ruined him.
He went from being libertarian to turning liberal without realizing it while becoming an alcoholic.
I don’t know if he would have gotten that injection or not if he was with her, but maybe he wouldn’t have. He got a pacemaker put in at 40 years old and my family has no heart issues at all. (Big family)
Now he is getting divorced..

This.

I’m truly the only one I know that this didn’t happen to. I told my wife at the beginning I will always do what I want when I want and I will never change and I haven’t.

Thats how the rest of us "think" it will be. Most of the guys in our generation were told the man is the head of the family. (White families anyway) and as the man we will keep order. But daughters are taught something different: its a mans world, you have to fight for what you want, you need to assert yourself and live your life, and don't let a man hold you down. Etc.... so while we (men) try to establish some kind of order and come to an understanding, a compromise.,  a woman will just argue and manipulate until she gets her way. Over time you give up more and more trying to compromise until you just give up more and more of yourself to avoid their hysterical,  fanatical, arguing. Over time, you don't even remember who you were or what you used to like.... the real bitch of it is She'll have the nerve to say things like "i don't know what happened to you. You're not the man I married.

Most men would be better off taking a no bullshit approach like Rob's right off the bat. The first sign of a this kind of bullshit hit the fucking door and change bank accounts. She'll learn real quick.

If he's griping about her that's one thing. Otherwise it's none of your business. Plenty of guys live for their wife and kids. It's their call.

Sounds like you're one of those guys. "Living for your wife and kids" is that what you call it to sleep well? You're right about one thing. It's your call.

Yes have had a few most notable was a good mate who married early and treat her like absolute shit so later in life after they divorced he met this horrible fat little ginger thing and almost instantly let her run his life it started by wherever he went she had to go which was pretty embarrassing when we were all out for a drink and he’d show up with her in tow then expect the entire group to behave different because she was there despite no fucker wanting her there we were like no get fucked, eventually he was only allowed to mix in her social circles she refused to work full time and he had to keep her financially and would openly degrade him telling him he failed his duties as a man as he didn’t make enough so she didn’t have to work, never did housework he had to cook ect once even punched him in the face as she didn’t like where he took her for dinner eventually it became too much and he said fuck everything and went on a massive cocaine binge as he was being made to spend all his money on ivf as she desperately wanted kids but couldn’t which ended things haha

Another mate isn’t allowed to spend any money without her approving it once he wanted to buy a air rifle off another mate and asked him to keep it for months while he scraped money together that she never knew about (was only £200) then had to lie and say he was borrowing it when he got it

Why resort to the personal attack for a genuine response  ???

Anyways, I agree with Tapeworm.  Chances are this guy was always like this, and for all we know he’s happy in his relationship.  It sucks if it’s a friend and you don’t see them much anymore, but hey that’s life.

I’ll say this - there’s stuff we all do that we don’t really want to do, all in the name of keeping the peace.  Happy spouse, happy house.  Some things are definitely a “no” but if my lady wants to wear matching pajamas on Christmas Eve or some bullshit like that … whatever lol.  Gotta pick the battles.

My girl is pretty understanding. I stay at work 5 nights a week, but it's how I.make a living, and she doesn't complain much.

I try to be good to her when I'm home. Even wore a matching Christmas Cow tshirt out with her. It was a smedium after a wash and dry, so I saw it as an opportunity.

Is a Christmas Cow a thing? She said it's a thing. Have I been made a fool of?

I think men who marry female lawyers, doctors, and corporate executives have something wrong with them.

When I was young, women stayed home with the kids and the man worked to take care of the family. The women made the home and took care of the kids. Now it seems with almost every family the woman works and the role of taking care of the kids is delegated to institutions like day care for their pre school kids.  If you have women seeking careers they think less of a man making less money than them. Deep down inside they want a man to be a man taking care of them and the kids. No way to look up to a man if you are making more money than them. Also we are now seeing the result of kids raised by day care and schools with little parental guidance. They turn into liberal fuck ups.

I see this in the work place too. I work with beautiful young women in my retirement job and the few guys that drift into working for this office are not seen as dating material to these hot young women I work with. The men that work here never last.

A lot of us think we can only be happy in a relationship. About 10 years ago I was single and just banged whatever I could get. Plenty of time for sports and whatever you wanted to do, without coordinating with a signifant other. Looking back at it now, it was an amazing time.

This is usually an unpopular opinion when I share it, which used to surprise me as it seems self-evident, but you get the Wife and Children you deserve.

If you let her push you around, you're the fucking idiot in that equation

And if your kids are sh1t - you failed as a Father

Luck and 'society' don't come into it

Rocket surgery it ain't

I attacked Tapeworm because he told me to mind my business in essence even I what I feel is true but he called it living for your wife and kids. But like I said. It is my friend's choice even though it's disgusting seeing what he's allowed himself to become.

As far as I know, he doesn't complain at least not to me. For all I know he could be happy but we don't talk like that anymore even though there was no falling out. One thing I know for sure is that she is a controlling, manipulative bitch and he's easily controlled by pussy if it's on a consistent basis.  Without going into details, this is exactly what happened.

She found out he was cheating with Craigslist whore the week they got married, she called me yelling and screaming to come talk some sense into him (I did) 12 years ago. From that moment he gave his power to her to get back in her good graces and he's never been the same.

How old are you?

We no longer have an economy in which most middle-class men can afford families and homes on one income.

Holy shit. You actually apologized? Online?

I'm not sure what to do. This hasn't happened before. Anywhere ever in history.
