Has he been in a bodybuilding contest in the last 10-20 years? Pix? I don't ever recall seeing him shredded or in any bodybuilding poses... just random pix of him looking big... wearing a unitard... or training in a gym.
Doesn't compete, has only been known outside of Europe for about 5-6 years, Here's a decent translated article on his history - -
Honza Kavalír -
ILLIA YEFIMCHYK
His name is Illia, he is 31 years old, he comes from Belarus and in 2020 he will be the discovery of the year on social networks. In the Czech Republic, he is known as the owner of the Prague gym Eagle Fitness, which is, or used to be, the home of many personalities from the world of strength sports and bodybuilding. Illja moved to the Czech Republic from Belarus 12 years ago and founded Eagle fitness about 8 years ago.
The giant Illja was never very much in the foreground, at least that's how I perceived it. I heard different stories and experiences about him from people who saw him training in the gym or had other dealings with him. So for many years I perceived him as one of the most influential men in Czech bodybuilding. I dare to say that absolutely everyone who means something in Czech bodybuilding knew him. I never wrote anything about him. The reason was simple, there was no reason, no situation. I really perceived Illya in such a way that he himself does not want to be seen. However, all that changed in the course of 2019.
Illja began to be seen, is being seen, and even gained enormous attention not only at home in the Czech Republic or Slovakia, but also, not so surprisingly, in the world. He came very close to 100,000 followers on Instagram. However, this number will grow exponentially in 2020. Czech "Rich Piano". That's what fans have been saying about Illja on social networks for a long time. And that means something. It caught on, and given the current situation, I have no doubt that Illji will be a real star. And I'm certainly not the only one who thinks so. Illja appeared in an interview with Ron Harris on MDčka.
And it was an extremely interesting interview, in which the native of Belarus presented himself in a great light. That is, if we are talking about self-promotion and visibility. I was also personally impressed by Illja's English, which was very good. Illja almost never had a problem expressing himself as he needed. And this is a huge advantage in the case of a first interview in English and it means that Illja is definitely working on herself not only in the gym, but also outside of it. What did this giant Hulk reveal about himself? Well, you probably won't believe it!
Talking points
He currently weighs about 155 kg, but he would like to get over 165 kg and maybe even 170 kg.
During the day, he tries to eat 4kg of beef and in one meal he eats 3 pounds, that is about 1350g of meat.
Here, he eats around 1000g, or a kilo, of protein per day. Please don't anyone try that.
He eats about 15,000 kcal per day.
He moved from Prague to Miami about two months ago.
It is sponsored by the brand that previously stood behind Rich Piano - 5% nutrition.
He has been hearing comparisons to this tragically deceased American controversial bodybuilder and subsequently to social network personalities for a long time. However, he himself does not play on his copy. He is his own person, has his own procedure and principles. However, they have one thing in common with Rich. He also tries to motivate and inspire people to achieve what they dream of and what their goal is. And not only in the world of bodybuilding, but also outside of it.
Ed Connors got it for 5% nutrition. Let's say an American talent discoverer behind names like Jay Cutler, Lee Priest or John Cena.
According to people who spoke with Illja, his Prague gym Eagle fitness is the Mecca of bodybuilding in the Czech Republic.
Illja does not plan to compete in bodybuilding. Its goal is to motivate people.
He moved to America precisely because this country is a place of possibilities, where he can realize his plans much better than, for example, in Europe, where there are no such conditions.
Illja thinks about his training. Practically everyone deeply analyzes their training and knows in advance exactly what they have to do in the next training to move somewhere further. He continues to try to find and overcome his limits.
His strength feats are respectable. Bench press 275kg, squat 320kg and deadlift the same. Currently in Miami, however, he feels even stronger and believes in more.
He goes shopping every other day and leaves about $150 per purchase each time. That means about $500 per week, well over $2000 per month.
