I am far from a religious man. Used to be devout to the extreme, but I simply can’t support any religion as they have all been murderous, pedophilic war mongers throughout the ages.
BUT - to deny that there is a creator behind the grand design of the universe makes no sense to me.
My thoughts are that Jesus was teaching things much deeper than Christianity and I do not believe he ever cared to be “worshipped”. Call me insane but I think “god” the creator can speak to each person in a way they can understand. What I mean is that as cultures are different so is the language of god. They do all seem to have some strong similarities (which is another argument for)
I believe man has blasphemed the creator by giving “him” human traits. Jealousy??? I doubt the creator has an iota of.jealousy. I can’t believe that an all powerful would have a need to be worshipped or praised. I think Christianity got that from the gods of Olympus who literally needed the prayers of man for their life force and who were literally weakened when man didn’t pray?!? lol that’s silly to me.
All that said - I think for MANY people religion is a huge help. I live my life probably too methodically for most, but it’s disciplined much like a religion. Whatever helps people live a good clean, loving life is worth it in my eyes.
But humans have a pathetically weak need to be “right”. I could write on this for hours but it would bore the shit out of the board. Needless to say that’s what the old pedophile Vince B is doing.
