Who knows but here’s my two cents. For most: no, it is a power, trophy, vanity thing like boxers back in the day. Keep in mind, they are filthy rich (oil) with not much to do and need hobbies. For others (how many?), well that’s a different story and I am sure they all know who’s who.

The truth is you don’t have to be a millionaire to support or sponsor a bodybuilder; you just need a decent job.  In many respects these guys are “sponsored” by their spouses or the people they are romantically involved with.  If a gym rat/bodybuilder is living with you rent free, you’re buying his groceries, providing him with a vehicle, paying the airfare, etc. then you are sponsoring him whether you call it that or not.

It looks really nice and they have great access to everything for supplements a lot of pros have gone there to train most come back. They claim they force too much food and too much anabolics on the guys. They also have language barrier issues strict alcohol and hashish laws and can not get approved credit for long term housing. Regan Grimes claims he was basically kidnapped force fed and injected until he had to escape. Larry Wheels couldn't get housing. Brandon Curry has stuck it out for a bit.

The gym is in Kuwait, not Dubai (UAE) where Larry was. Different countries.

You can find places to drink in Dubai and there isn't really a language barrier issue. Kuwait is stricter.

Weird scene, hard to figure out all the win/wins. Being stuck over in Middle East for long stretches is claustrophobic to begin with. This seems like it would be pretty unbearable for most.
