Good point. For all of Mentzers philosophy bull shit. The part he missed about objectivism was 'rational self interest.' The Randian hero wasn't just a drop out and subsequent burnout, loser, and failure...but someone who was so secure that they did not care for the judgement of a flawed, subjective system, but continued to pursue their own ideals.

Whereas Dickerson continued to perfect his craft, Mentzer became a joke....a punchline
