Back in the day (around 1973) I entered an odd lift contest Ed Jubinville put on at Mt. Park Amusement Center in Holyoke Mass......I did 8 reps with 50 pounds over bodyweight (that was the criteria).....it was the first time I ever deadlifted.......I tied Mr. World finisher and Pro Mr America Stanley Blinder for 5th. place.......one of my many claims to fame!!  LOL

I am telling you I can deadlift a lot more. I didn't even need to dip my hips and use my legs because it was no weight but no one has anything left to bet so you guys don't get to see it. I did not strain myself at all.

Of course you do more in that fashion, but since you aren`t used to them you will be sore from the back of your neck down to your ass and every place in between.

bhanks doesn't believe in weight classes in these kinds of things.  If a 500-lb man lifts 320 he is stronger than a 150-lb man lifting 315.
