The midddle finger post and gimmick accusations raise a good point though are multiple UserID coming from the same IP addresses and if so why? Can we clean up the gimmicks and limit each IP address to 1 account?
There aren't multiple users using the same IP. We have a team that looks at that data monthly and removes accounts as needed. Also, the good trolls mask their IP's and know how to use a VPN that allows for them to randomly pick different locations.
Can we clean up the gimmicks? If any gimmick account starts to break the forum rules incessantly (I say incessantly, because we are very lenient, too damn lenient), then we typically start to ban and place them on a list where we keep an eye on the activity. The reality is that gimmicks are still people. People that have multiple personalities at times. Sometimes, those distinct personalities can be funny. Other times, they are not fucking funny.
If anyone has a problem with a member that they suspect is a gimmick and they can show proof of how 2 accounts appear to be used by the same user, send me (OR ANY MODERATOR) a private message and we will look into it.
Oh yeah, one more thing.... If someone has a random post or thread removed, you shouldn't automatically assume that it was me. I am always logged into the forum from my phone and a few other outlets. That doesn't mean I am the only moderator that can remove material. I get so many messages asking why I removed things and I'll say it again, if I remove anything I'll let the person know.
