Harassing phone calls to your family, listing your physical address, calling your work and families' work with get big references, emailing google earth images of your house are just a few of the additional things going on here. Anyone with a little tech knowledge can accomplish these things.

It happened to me. No clue how they got my email address. Only two from this site have it and one is cut off. Sent me a picture of me and the wife they said they got from hacking my cloud account with get big references.

But Josh gets banned every time....

Those members (about 7-8) actually tabulate all sorts of statistical information, keep track of user activity and are also the driving force behind the GetBig Awards. They are also really good at the "computer" stuff.

And here's the thing, I don't mind if he and beakdoctor go at it, "if" they both desire (To be fair, beakdoctor did not reach out to me for help with Royalty - that guy just rolls with it). But to just spam the board with the same post in endless threads results with disruption to the flow of the forum. That's not ok.

I had over 15 members send me private messages to complain about the spamming he has been doing. I am not blind to it, I was just giving him a chance to realize that maybe it was becoming excessive.

Also, the Mike Mentzer shit was getting old. He was a good professional bodybuilder. But to drown the forum in Mentzer pics is a little much. Making reference to him here and there and posting pics for comparison purposes is fine, but to endlessly post the same pics in threads that have nothing to do with Mentzer is very odd.

There aren't multiple users using the same IP. We have a team that looks at that data monthly and removes accounts as needed. Also, the good trolls mask their IP's and know how to use a VPN that allows for them to randomly pick different locations.

Can we clean up the gimmicks? If any gimmick account starts to break the forum rules incessantly (I say incessantly, because we are very lenient, too damn lenient), then we typically start to ban and place them on a list where we keep an eye on the activity. The reality is that gimmicks are still people. People that have multiple personalities at times. Sometimes, those distinct personalities can be funny. Other times, they are not fucking funny.

If anyone has a problem with a member that they suspect is a gimmick and they can show proof of how 2 accounts appear to be used by the same user, send me (OR ANY MODERATOR) a private message and we will look into it.

Oh yeah, one more thing.... If someone has a random post or thread removed, you shouldn't automatically assume that it was me. I am always logged into the forum from my phone and a few other outlets. That doesn't mean I am the only moderator that can remove material. I get so many messages asking why I removed things and I'll say it again, if I remove anything I'll let the person know.

You would be surprised how easy it is to trace people with some basic PC knowledge and software

This is quite true. I often use companies house or 192 website for a little research. In the past, when I've been owed with contractors or whatever, I've managed to track people through other persons listed with interest and going into their registrations. Usually wives or whatever and it's a home address rather than their accountants or offices. Praise Odin for women thinking their little crafts hobbies are going to be huge businesses
