I sent this to a retired cop friend of mine. We’ve discussed this many times about female cops. This is what he said…ladies, don’t shoot the messenger (me)

“You see it all the time now ! That or they won’t engage when the partners are in fights ….these girls overreacted then couldn’t even grip their guns properly let alone reload or god forbid … aim! …. They dropped the standards so woman can pass then everyone’s training suffers because they have to train to the lowest common denominator …. I could go on”

Rules of Engagement are something lawyers can argue about after the fact. Protecting my life is my first priority no hesitation, no questions, debate, or permissions needed.

Here in Sweden lots of females failed the police academy for one reason only: they were too weak to pull the trigger. IIRC it required like 15lbs of pressure?

sweden is the most open minded country with the sexes but even there females want to be nurses and men engineers

I just have some number in my head, 7 kilos, could misremember. However the point is that they couldn't pull the trigger, it was too heavy. I don't know anything about guns. I guess it was some standard issue gun everyone used. Are there different pressure requirements between
different handguns? My guess is that you don't want it to be too light/easy where it might go off unintentionally?
