A few reasons. I didn't want to cause any drama. I just felt like maybe those times are past. I saw a Chael Sonnen video and he talked about going back to wrestling and getting in the low stance and how it just wasn't the same after MMA. It seemed perhaps juvenile and should be left in the past. Also was just a nice holiday weekend to spend with the family instead of dragging them to a wrestling tourney.

USA Wrestling also falls under USADA. I didn't want to deal with any issues. They also did Madison brackets as in no weight classes. 2 guys showed up the guy who won was 145lbs. I would have snapped his neck and everyone would have complained.

This guy won the event he competed at 125lbs in January and is registered to compete at 141lbs in August. Would it have been fair for me to show up and wrestle against him? What would that have proved?

I would murder this kid he weighed in at 145lbs. This is the guy who won the Open Adult division. They did not use weight classes they put them all together because they only had 2 guys. You don't think people would be upset and complain to USA wrestling when they saw me take off my pump cover and strangle a 145lb kid?

Why would I do that? My son still wrestles, and you are required to wear shoes on a mat if you want to help coach. They will last 20 years I will get plenty of use.

My blood pressure is in the ideal range my cholesterol is low. I don't take any medications for either.  I have no concerning flags on recent bloodwork. I don't drink or smoke or use any recreational drugs. I workout daily and watch what I eat. I am going to live another 50 years.

They call it landscaping they had to mow the grass, remove old dead trees, cut back trees hanging over fence, trim all the bushes, spray the gravel for weeds and bring in and spread 2 truckloads of mulch. Welcome to a full Acre of mulch beds, trees, flowers, and bushes. They now charge us like 150 every other week or something just to mow.

Once we get moved, we will be on a 1/4 acre lot in the city with a fence instead of a full acre. We also won't have deer eating all our plants. Our landscaping cost should go down significantly. I actually plan to start a backyard garden and get a push lawnmower.

Chael is legit. Now the better question is would I try and the answer is yes absolutely it would be an honor to wrestle, box, mma, or whatever against the Bad man. I do think he is one of the best and a legend. I absolutely understand everyone giving me 0 chance. However yeah I like to think I would have something for him. From a physical size and strength and age standpoint it is a fair matchup.  As far as exp and technique he should be way ahead of me but hell yeah I am absolutely in I do not think I would get ragdolled.
