So I’m watching this show on Netflix called “The Gentlemen” and the way they talk, not the accent but the slang, is almost too much. Do yall really talk like that? It’s like when I watched POS 151 with Samuel Jackson, it wasn’t even a Guy Ritchie movie and it had all that crap in it. It’s almost like a caricature of the character.

Haven't watched the series yet, but I watched and enjoyed the movie.

Very British, yes. Too British? Possibly for some.

I watch a ton of British films the one thing I cannot understand that well is a Cockney accent.

Dated a girl from Doncaster many years ago, went to a wedding there with her, i swear i couldn't understand half of what anyone said. Her Grandad would talk to me for 5 minutes straight and i didn't have a clue what he was saying.

It's much worse in parts of Ireland.

I don't think what they speak is technically English.

The 2 steaming stations we watch the most are Britbox and Acorn.
English, Welsh, Irish, Scottish, etc.
Close-captioning is always on, can't understand what anyone is saying...
