The guy has won 8 straight, I think he knows what he is doing. Ron is always out of shape this time of year. That is the secret of his success. When big Ron has a break, he really has a break. I only get him to guest pose around contest time as he is freaky for weeks after a show. The rest of the year you get an off season guest poser, at the end of the day the fans vote with their feet and Ron sells out venues all year round.

agreed. I can't help but think that  if he did what other bodybuilders do (stay relatively lean year round, train all the time non-stop) he would be burnt out and retired long ago. And possibly injured.

I disagree. Some of the people who show up to see Ronnie guest pose want to see Ronnie in shape. Not necessarily contest shape, but it wouldn't hurt for him to try to stay within reasonable range. A lot of us don't make it out to the Olympia, so a guest posing may be our only chance to see Ronnie live. I sure as hell don't want to see a 300+ lb blob.
