It did get better, but never captured the magic.
I did predict the structure of the finale with about 4 episodes left, outside of the final twist at the end.
Leon was off this year - he used to be like Kramer, one step ahead, but was kind of a dunce this year.
I loved the season. Thought the writing was brilliant and felt like Larry was on a revenge tour. Loved how he continually stuck it to Cheryl and Danson. Thought the finale was amazing. To me, it's the greatest comedy show of all time.
Everything was a little over the top but probably on purpose. I think they are planning something for Leon's character post Curb. I hear that a prequel focused on Leon is being pitched. What a great way for Lewis to go out though. Instead of curling up and dying, he did what he loved and still delivered some big moments.
Freddy Funkhouser was a great addition the last few seasons.
A little disappointed that cousin Andy wasn't in the final season. I thought there could have been a way to have him testify on Larry's behalf and fuck it up royally.
