Donald Trump and Roy Cohn
« on: May 16, 2024, 03:13:08 PM »
Here's a little something for all you Getbig homophobes. Trump's lawyer and most important Mentor/groomer was Roy Cohn a closeted homosexual who died of HIV/AIDS.

https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2019/09/19/roy-cohn-donald-trump-documentary-228144/

“The maddening thing about Cohn and Trump,” Tyrnauer told me recently, “is that they have this sort of Road Runner-versus-Wile E. Coyote knack, where you think the boulder is going to fall on them and crush them and they escape just in the nick of time.”

Inside Roy Cohn’s Controversial Career and Influential Friendship with Donald Trump
https://www.biography.com/legal-figures/a60776177/roy-cohn-donald-trump-friendship

As soon as Trump heard that Cohn was dying of AIDS, he took off like a startled rabbit. They had been friends for 27 years.

In 1984, Cohn became ill and soon began treatment for what he claimed was liver cancer. In reality, he was suffering from complications of AIDS.

Cohn died on August 2, 1986, in Bethesda, Maryland, of complications from AIDS, at the age of 59. At death, the IRS seized almost everything he had. One of the things that the IRS did not seize was a pair of knockoff diamond cuff links, given to him by his client and friend Donald Trump.

Roy Cohn, was an aide to Joseph McCarthy and Fiery Lawyer.

The New York Times
https://www.nytimes.com › national › science › aids
Aug 3, 1986 — McCarthy's Senate investigations in the 1950's into Communist influence in American life, died yesterday at the age of 59. This reminded me that Coach regularly calls folks who disagree with him politically and are liberals, Communists.

Here's a coincidence, Roy Cohn was a Democrat.

Donald Trump registered as a Republican in Manhattan in 1987; since that time, he has changed his party affiliation five times. In 1999, Trump changed his party affiliation to the Independence Party of New York. In August 2001, Trump changed his party affiliation to Democratic. In September 2009, Trump changed his party affiliation back to the Republican Party. In December 2011, Trump changed to "no party affiliation" (independent). In April 2012, Trump again returned to the Republican Party.

Well a long time ago I called him on a comment he made that was highly
Dubious which he defend until Agnostic advised him it was very dubious
& he apologised & changed his stance.

Let's see what he has to say about Pedo Joe now his daughter has confirmed
he was having showers with her & she believes she was abused & now the
other Girl saying as we can see in the video that he tweaked her nipple.

My Guess is he won't out & out say he's a Pedo.
I very much hope he proves Me wrong.

Well yeah, Trump was a democrat who routinely mingled with black folks, gay folks, etc....and nobody cared.

Then he ran for President as a republican and instantly turned into a misogynistic racist homophobe.

There is no way to know what Trump did, does or thinks aside from what he says and posts on social media. The point is Roy Cohn was his attorney, friend and possibly his mentor. How Trump acts and what he does today coincidentally mirrors the actions of Roy Cohn. Roy Cohn was not an honest person or good person.

"What Cohn could, and did, get away with was the very engine of his existence. The infamous chief counsel for the red-baiting, Joseph McCarthy-chaired Senate subcommittee in the 1950s, Cohn was indicted four times from the mid-’60s to the early ’70s—for stock-swindling and obstructing justice and perjury and bribery and conspiracy and extortion and blackmail and filing false reports. And three times he was acquitted—the fourth ended in a mistrial—giving him a kind of sneering, sinister sheen of invulnerability.

Cohn did not, in the end, elude the consequences of his actions. He could not, it turned out, get away with everything forever. He was a braggart of a tax cheat, and the Internal Revenue Service closed in; he was an incorrigibly unethical attorney, and he finally was disbarred; and only six weeks after that professional disgrace, six months shy of 60 years old, Cohn was dead of AIDS.

"He (Cohn) was a prototypical Teflon man,” Zirin writes in his book. “The more unscrupulous he became, the more his law practice grew. He was the man to see if you wanted to beat the system.”

What Zirin wrote has a familiar note to it. Interesting.

Trump 'unfriended' Roy Cohn when he became useless to him and after finding out he was HIV positive and dying of AIDS.

Like the old Spanish proverb says, ‘tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are.’ This is so true.

What is a homophobe?

I doubt people have a phobia of homosexuals. Most would be indifferent or repulsed, especially by the more vulgar kind, and some may even be sympathetic but fearing homosexuals is highly unlikely.

You should share your thoughts with the folks who wrote that definition at Dictionary.com. Webster's definition is similar.

APA Dictionary of Psychology definition of homophobia:

n. dread or fear of LGBTQ+ people, often associated with prejudice and bias toward them, that leads to discrimination in such areas as employment, housing, and legal rights. Extreme homophobia may lead to physical violence.

https://dictionary.apa.org/homophobia

There is a detailed description of homophobia in Britannica. https://www.britannica.com/topic/homophobia

"The term homophobia was coined in the late 1960s and was used prominently by George Weinberg, an American clinical psychologist, in his book Society and the Healthy Homosexual (1972)."

Roy Cohn, Trump's mentor was an evil and dishonest person.

Roy Cohn Got Her Grandparents Executed.

The New York Times
https://www.nytimes.com › Arts › Television
Jun 19, 2020 — As a young attorney in 1951, Cohn pushed for the execution of Meeropol's grandparents Julius and Ethel Rosenberg on espionage charges.

Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were the only spies executed during the Cold War and some question whether their sentence was fair. https://www.history.com/news/rosenbergs-executed-spies-cold-war

Cohn was accused of borrowing $100,000 from a client in 1966 and not repaying it until 1984. Trump is notorious for stiffing folks, including his attorneys.

Your usual googling and copy/paste.

Phobia comes from phobos which means fear. I don't see people fearing someone for being homosexual. Indifferent possibly, repulsed maybe but not fear.

You missed the point of my post. You have an opinion about the meaning of homophobia as do I. Chances are neither of our opinions mean much since we are not experts on the subject. What I am saying is that the clinical and professional definition of homophobia is not in agreement with yours.

Yes, I googled and pasted information about this subject. There is nothing wrong with this. If you would rather not know what others with more experience than you have to say, this is fine.... keep your mindset. The term for this is metathesiophobia (Fear of change).  ;)

Exactly pointless stupid language at that. Pathetic bunch.

No-one fears them, disgusted & dislike what they do yeah,
Majority probably are not bothered if they keep it to themselves & stopped trumpeting what they do
& saying its normal.
