Looks like this Healthcare Worker wasn't allowed to work for SEVERAL YEARS because they didn't get vaccinated.

Most likely they took a job somewhere else. Now their former employer is asking them to come back.

Quite a few nurses I know (have one in the family) became traveling nurses and made 2 to 3x what they were making at the hospitals they left. Most hospitals quietly hired temp nurses- no vax required- to deal with the idiocy they created.

I know a couple guys who can't seem to get back on their feet. It's not mandates anymore, and it's not a tough labor market. It's just their heads. Everything is unfair and too fucking hard. I don't know what to tell them anymore.

I’ve seen this as well. A collective “giving up” by society. The employment numbers a skewed because there are people who just didn’t go back to work and aren’t actively looking. I don’t know what they do, Uber drivers maybe?
