Former “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor was fatally shot in downtown Los Angeles while interrupting thieves Saturday. Johnny's mother said her son had been walking with one of his coworkers after working at a downtown rooftop bar when he saw what he thought was someone working on a car. Her son initially thought his car was being towed, and he approached the person to ask. Three men were trying to steal a catalytic converter from the car. Instead, the suspect looked up and opened fire. The shooting occurred around 3:25 a.m

Typically along the west coast this is correct. From SanFrancisco  upto Portland and Seattle the catalytic converter market is run by meth addicts, fent addicts, really junkies of any kind.... its the metals inside the converter thats easily sold off for quick cash.

I'd guess down in L.A. it could be immigrants.  It's typically a white tweaker crime but generally white tweakers don't come up shooting.

As far as Wacktor, he was 'walking home from working a rooftop bar at 3:30 am?'  Is this like a Spacey/Smollet walk at 3 am?
