  I am actually hoping for the best but expect the worse. so far gas has gone up a quarter and my electric company has announced a 13 per-cent increase all in his first 8 days. food prices showed a mild increase also. I can only talk for my area of the country. Hopefully things will even out.

He wasn't going to wave a wand and instantly lower prices after he was sworn in.  He's said repeatedly he has to start with getting energy costs down, which he believes will drive transportation and manufacturing costs down, etc.

What are you afraid he will do that constitutes "expect the worse".
