People here are congratulating Shizzo on his take on long term relationships. Imagine agreeing with someone who’s never had a successful relationship with the opposite sex.

Here’s a take, marriage is hard, it always has been. A good marriage requires hard work and two willing participants, life has many adversaries and tragedies, there are events that change people. It can be hard as an individual to navigate life.

Hers the real hot take; people get married who shouldn’t be married. Their issues are apparent well before they decided to be “committed”, and they think it will be issues they work through. Many won’t because they refused to address them before they were married. Having children won’t make the situation better. Two incomplete broken people don’t make a whole relationship. But those same people will spend 10-30 years together not trying to correct their own issues.

You don't get my point. People can make marriage work, but it does go against our biological urges to mate with more than one partner. That's just on the sexual side. Has nothing to do with all of the other valid issues that you brought up.

I think we have a mental health problem, not necessarily a drug problem. Technology is letting people isolate even more.
