Have you sqauted 525lbs for 20+ reps ATG full reps ?
You might just forget where you are with that amount of oxygen debt.
It's very easy to throw stones & criticize if you haven't / can't do

you're just bagging the guy for no good reason. You just come off as bitter for some reason.
we all heard him reference the Seagull book in Total Rebuild you don't know anything special so don't try... He was just referencing the philosophy in the book about the bird wanting to be unique and do something special. I can see thatc correlation. Why are you talking shit?
No. Never came close to ever squatting 500 lbs, even for 1 rep. Perfectly understandable reason to walk into an iron bar. Still looked goofy though.
Hey Maxx, My opinion is the guy came across as a kook. Surely you've seen his interviews. many are cringe worthy at best. Other times he just comes across as unreliable, giving totally different answers to the same questions from one year to the next. I mean, bitter? Come on, what the hell on earth do I have to be bitter about tom platz for? For better or for worse, everyone gets bagged on in this forum. it's not like this is the first time these things have been said about him. His training style was fucking retarded. Period. It's amazing he didn't injure himself more. Somehow he built a great body and got incredibly strong.
It's my opinion Platz in 81 is one of the most impressive bodies in bodybuilding history, I don't even think his upper body ever recieved enough credit, his chest and back were almost as impressive as his legs, also loved his Ride Like The Wind routine. However it is also my opinion that he is a kook.
BTW, Jonathan Livingston Seagull sucked. Yeah, it was a cultural phenomenon, it was also a punchline. The pet rock was a phenomenon too.
