Agree with what, referring to them by their new gender?  i just see it as being polite.  Like if someone changes their name from Michael to David, it would be a dick move to keep calling them Michael.

Regarding the children thing, it does seem extreme. 

If transitioning is the optimal treatment for someone who’s transgender I can see the argument for doing it before puberty starts.  On the other hand, that’s an enormous decision to make for someone who isn’t even a teenager yet.  Can’t say i know enough to take a position here.

What other areas of life is a child allowed to make life altering decisions? They can’t vote, drive, drink, get tattoos, legally take out a loan, be married, etc….. but they have enough understanding to change their physical sexual orientation?
