Are trannies receptive to psychological treatments? Like can they get over "it"? I suspect many probably could. I think it's perverse when you are actually cutting up a healthy body, the inverted penises fashioned into vaginas are a horror that should not be. I think the "tranny idea" is flawed from the start, the idea that you are born into the wrong body. It's not scientific but for some reason the medical establishment is playing along with it as if it's "real."

I don't think so, not in the internet age. It's become a giant pity and praise loop for a lot of them. Non-stop being told they're beautiful, or will be beautiful if they just get surgery. That it's not their fault that they'll never pass, it's their parents's for not getting them on hormones, etc... And there aren't really any real old school doctors left that deal with it. They're all soft, scared to get canceled, or see dollar signs attached to the whole thing.

Regarding the children thing, it does seem extreme. 

If transitioning is the optimal treatment for someone who’s transgender I can see the argument for doing it before puberty starts.  On the other hand, that’s an enormous decision to make for someone who isn’t even a teenager yet.  Can’t say i know enough to take a position here.

So what if someone likes dresses or is a tomboy, homo or a lesbian, why ruin your body? There should be joy in having a healthy body in the first place and I'm sure many would "get over" this brain virus with some time

I think it would have to be in patient, and highly supervised, almost like those old cult deprograming things. I just can't see it being an easy few times a week normal therapy session. The tranny war seems like it could be fought to a stalemate, but not totally won.

Most don't have the surgery and just take hormones.

They know there's at least a niche demand for that. But for those with the surgery? Their sex life is basically over, straight guys would just go for the real thing.

I agree that promoting such surgery is reckless and doing more harm.

With the hormones, at least if they have a change of heart, they can stop them and live as a regular gay and their whole life won't be destroyed.

Statistics can be argued about endlessly but some claim the gender dysphoric often get over it as they get older and discover they didn't actually want to change their bodies after all

Another thing that should ring alarm bells is that they "all" have psychiatric comorbidities like autism. So these are mentally ill persons who are most likely made even more ill, I don't buy it that gender reassignment reduces suicides
