I've been riding a long ass bike for 20 years. All my friends have switched over to bikes with bags on them. Last one just went for it last weekend. Splitting lanes on those is a bitch.

You are much bigger than me and I think  a Glide would fit you just fine.  I now have an '08 Ultra Classic that I want to put a sidecar on so I can putt around the street where I live with my grandchildren. 

Extended front ends make U-turns impossible.  You'd need a state or two to make one with an out there front end.  I am scared out of what's left of my mind when I have to make one on a bike now. 

I never split lanes as it's too scary for me and I am usually in the "slow" lane anyway.
