Around 2016 I started seeing ground bison in chain grocery stores. I remember seeing a Muscular Development article with Tony Freeman saying he ate bison and he said he felt it went well with him because he was Indian and they were known for eating bison. Back then, I laughed about the Indian part. I don't laugh anymore...Anyway,
I began incorporating bison to the point now, I eat around 3-4lbs of quality bison per week when I'm training.
To me at this point, it's just a cleaner meat. The nutrient profiles are more favorable as well.
The taste is great and is identical to lean beef in texture.
Bison definitely has my seal of approval.
