I am dumbfounded I wanted to be a top-flight competitive bodybuilder in my younger years.

Everything about the “sport”, minus the desire to build strength and muscle, seems so silly and embarrassing.

Glittery thongs … starvation … fanciful posing … assassinating one’s own innards … walking around a stage, cupping the ears and flicking fingers in a plea for audience approval and cheers and clapping …

Extremely embarrassing.
