So they moving on with the Rust then .
Alec has said if they ever do remake of Crow /Brandon Lee/ he  will be playing villain Funboy because he is the most qualified guy for it.

How the fuck was it his fault???  He was given a gun and thought it was prop that didn't have real bullets in it because .....he was shooting a movie.   It should have just been settled in civil court.  There clearly was no intention.

The case was so bad that they had to hide critical evidence to even get it that far.   That's why the case was dismissed.   This was all nothing more than a political stunt.   Maybe we should find the guy who shot Brandon Lee and lock him up to..

Sorry Wes, but that case should have never gone to court

Vince... they were not even filming that day.

There was no reason for Alec to point the gun at the cinema photographer.

1. TREAT EVERY WEAPON AS IF IT WERE LOADED, EVEN AFTER YOU ENSURED IT WAS UNLOADED

2. NEVER POINT A WEAPON AT ANYTHING YOU DO NOT INTEND TO SHOOT

3. Keep your finger straight off the trigger until you are ready to fire

4. Know your target, it's foreground and back ground.

Which one of these basic universal safety rules apply, Vince?

Should the guy who shot Brandon Lee have been tried and convicted of manslaughter?

Ok, did a quick wiki search of it

"In a film shoot prior to the fatal scene, the gun that was used as a prop (a real revolver) was loaded with improperly made dummy rounds, improvised from live cartridges that had the powder charges removed by the special effects crew, so in close-ups the revolver would show normal-looking ammunition. However, the crew neglected to remove the primers from the cartridges, and at some point before the fatal event, one of the rounds had been fired. Although there were no powder charges, the energy from the ignited primer was enough to separate the bullet from the casing and push it part-way into the gun barrel, where it got stuck—a dangerous condition known as a squib load".

Rule of thumb for a squib round is, of course keeping the gun pointed down range for about a minute or two in case the round the goes off.

When they resume shooting Rust (no pun intended) they should replace all the firearm scenes with nunchucks(sp) and flying stars.

The fact that evidence was trying to be hid tells you all that you need to know about the case.

He got off on a technicality not because he was innocent. While he didn’t intentionally murder her, he pulled the trigger. The armorer sits in prison while he gets to go free. I don’t know if double jeopardy applies in this case but it should be retried.

The armorer job is to make sure all weapons are clear and safe to use which she didnt...thats why she is there.  Alec Baldwin is not a weapons expert...he's an actor.  He's not going to know what to do which is why he hired an armorer.

He would not have been convicted anyway, this was done as a political stunt
