My experience with studying law is that the studying itself does not require intelligence, only a very good memory. Besides criminal law, it was extremely uninteresting and boring. Topics like 'Administrative Law' are a nightmare if you hate bureaucracy, because this is what you're studying, filling in paper work.
It's parrot work, verbatim memorization of countless articles and sections and case law studies.
I switched to Economics, which I really enjoyed studying and working on, did well on it, and got my Honours degree.
