From what I know she was with the Service for over twenty years moving all the way up to SAC (Special Agent in Charge) at the Grand Rapids Michigan office. That is an accomplishment indicative of sound, hard work. From there she went to Pepsi and later on back to the Service. In general Federal Law Enforcement have mandatory retirement age of 57 but Director are not subject to that. Additionally, she is (I think) 55 years old now.

There is doubtless much we are never privy to but regardless of that, what happened to Mr. Trump should not have happened to any President or Candidate under SS protection. Mr. Trump lauds (and with good reason) the agents who were there with him that day and on stage as fast as possible shielding him with their bodies. That job is not an easy one, believe me.
I would say the same if it had been Mr. Biden or any other President. Our leaders should be protected and this was a terrible lapse. Hopefully all will be revealed and measures taken to better ensure the safety of our Presidents, now and in the future.
