If you said the far left is as very much a cult as the far right, I would agree. However, It's hard to compare left leaning and right leaning in the same light. I know from the past, you are right leaning and probably closer to centric. If not Centric, then at least more open minded.
To qualify my hesitance in accepting all left is as much a cult as the hard right. Many on the left were not a fan of Bidens going into this final phase. They would vote Biden, but reluctantly because they found the other option too disheartening.
The right for the most part, is "excited" about Trump. I understand there are some Republicans who are holding their noses and will vote Trump on party alone and abhor Trump as a person. But if we compared the left and right in their excitement, I think we can both agree, the left was lacking. Not that Trump was/is a better choice than Biden, but they are more grounded in reality.
To be excited about Biden, you got to be a little nuts. To be excited about Trump, you got to be a little nuts. Can we agree on that?
Yes I am right leaning on things, but also left on other stuff. I don't feel either party represents me, or most Americans for that matter, as they both have massive flaws and are often two sides of the same coin. If I take those online political poll things that tell you what party you are, it's usually libertarian. But I have no problem saying I've been anti-Democrat since 2016, as I feel they've collectively lost their minds due to Trump.
The behavior around the vaccine, St Fauci, BLM, lockdowns, being oblivious to Biden's condition, ignoring legitimate lawfare, and now Harris.
Do I really want Trump? No. Would any other Republican have this locked up? Probably.
But regardless of how anyone spins it this is
fact: The Democrats knew Biden was in massive decline. But they still thought he could win and covered it up. After the debate, it was over, so they forced him out and put in Harris. Someone with a low approval rating, no real accomplishments, not good a speaking or unscripted interviews, someone her own party didn't want, etc and now they all get in line and with the help of the media are making her into something she's completely isn't.
In a simple sense, the Dems/Media attached their wagon to a broken horse, but told America it was a thoroughbred. When that horse was proven a nag, they should lose, and those associated with that sham should be punished. But nope, the sheeple cultists on the left will not only vote for her, they're going crazy over her.
It shows that the candidate doesn't matter, and the machine can do what they want.
And if we are getting down to the critical matter for me: my son is draft age. Harris is fucking idiot and her admin sucks at foreign policy. She's going to worry about pro Palestine folks, continue the poor choices in Ukraine that Biden has made, and push us closer to a global conflict. I know Trump will do the opposite, and try to end this shit quickly.
