Unlike Bo or Deion, there is an argument that he the greatest football player who ever lived.

Unlike Bo or Deion, there is no question that Jim is one of the greatest of all time in his "other sport". Deion and Bo were good baseball players. Jim's other sport (Lacrosse)...well, they consider him to be one of the best lacrosse players of all time and the Premier league named their championship trophy after him.

Sorry - it's Jim Brown. The fact that he played lacrosse instead of baseball is the only reason folks don't talk about him more as the best dual sport athlete of all time, at least in America.

How about Chuck Connors? He played in the NBA for the Celtics and played baseball with the Cubs and Dodgers. First NBA guy to break the back board.

Gene conley smoked connors in both sports.    Gene Conley is the only man to win both a World Series title, in 1957 with the Milwaukee Braves, and an NBA title, winning three in a row with the Boston Celtics in 1959, 1960, and 1961, while also pitching for the Boston Red Sox in 1961.
