Depends which state you're in, I suppose. Let's be real: no matter what you earn: if you are frugal and avoid entertainment, partying and holidays, you can save up and eventually make your wealth build up. You seem to enjoy going out and partying with recreational drugs. You'd need a lot of money to live the way you do. Someone that works, goes home, goes gym and is a homebody won't need anywhere near that.
Without a wife kids/family to support its pretty easy to live the way he does. But even if you have just one dependent it becomes increasingly hard to indulge in anything.
But single, no kids, 90k... I could live a life of luxury. But 200k ex wife and 3 kids.... I budget wisely. Everything is a line item
Most weeks/months there is no partying/bars/nightlife in the budget. It's planned out. When I finally DO plan for it, it's budgeted. Ill blow whatever I budgeted for it and not a penny more.
