Tom Cruise at closing 2024 Olympics ceremony... really?
« on: August 11, 2024, 07:13:33 PM »
Oh geez, feed the already out of control ego of the scientologist cultie!

sickening and ridiculous!

Doesn't anyone i.e the organizers of the event and the anchors on NBC ("you go tom, that's how you do it Maverick!) give a shit that this guy is the public face of a evil abusive cult that has abused countless people, whose best friend is the leader of the abuse and therefore, cruise, is second hand guilty of the abuse, whose his best friend's  wife has not been seen in public for over 15 years and who has literally abandoned his own daughter for over 10 years and counting!

I can maybe excuse the athletes fawning over him as he walked among them for seeing a big movie star (I guess none of them knows ANYTHING even in 2024 of what he's involved in?) but everyone else? No excuse!

What happened to integrity, character, shame? I swear celebrities could be mass murderers but no one would care if a) they make money for a industry 2) their cool with them 3) hey they didn't try to hurt me or anyone I know, so who care about those OTHER people  and so and so on.. Of course so called journalists are wannabe celebrities and celebrity worshippers themselves...

Meanwhile cruise and his cult are laughing at them.....COUNTING on the public at large apathy and celebrity worship...

the fact that cruise has gotten away with even being ASKED questions and investigated for decades now is incomprehensible...

The Olympics mocked God at the opening ceremonies, allowed a convicted pedo compete in volleyball, and had transgenders beating on real females but it's this Tom Cruise bs that makes you question their integrity and character?

^^^ LOL!

It was Tom Cruise pretending to play beach volleyball in 86 that got him the Olympic invite.

Also celebrities aren’t celebrated once the media turns on them (or the law). Today Bill Cosby isnt shooting commercials he’s sucking “Jell-O Pudding Pops” through the crotch of government issued trousers.

That_Dude, cruise and what he's involved in, the public face of, is WAAAAAAAAAAY worse than the other objections you made mention of in your post...

And yes, Dave D, Cruise is far worse than bill cosby and harvey weinstein put together as well.. How many people did cosby and weinstein hurt/abuse? Together, they pale in comparison to Cruise being complicit, since his best friend is the leader of the abuse and cruise turns a blind eye to it all,  in the abuse in every definition of the word abuse (financial, emotional, physical) that his cult had inflicted on countless people (not to mention those ex-members and critics). The phrase "as if he pulled the trigger himself" describes Cruise 100% to a tee....

Again the culture is corrupted, the ceremony openly mocked the belief system of 2 billion people, so of course Cruise, who is a counter to that faith system, will be promoted. These events are all Trojan horses to get people comfortable with these new ideas.

The media in America is more focused on slavery from 300 years ago despite the fact that there are more slaves in the world today then there was at the peak of the slave trade.

Tom's closing wasn't that bad. It was entertaining to watch. At least they did not push any other agenda from what I could tell. I liked how he unveiled the Olympic logo with the Hollywood sign.

I think they are overestimating how much of a draw the "Hollywood" angle is going to be, but what do I know, I am just a getbigger.

I wonder what USA Basketball will be like in 2028, presumably without LeBron/Steph/KD (they will be 43/40/39 years old, respectively, in 2028).  No one from the rest of the Generation Nothingness players on the team this year was impressive.  Anthony Davis was good but he'll be 35 in 2028, most centers aren't still elite at that age.

I love the intensity and passion that Tom brings to the film set. His maniacal laughter is also 2nd to none. From a bodybuilding perspective, he has a short stature and shitty bodybuilding genetics.

One of the greatest actors of our time. He has made so many major movies that stand the test of time.

Having said that from a bodybuilding perspective I noticed the following. For Maverick the latest Top Gun movie he was very lean and slim muscular. Very believable in his role as a fighter pilot. In the Olympics he had a chubby face and I get it, he's not a young man any more. How did he do it a few years ago when he made Maverick?  Now he has a chubby face and I could clearly see his man boobs when his jacket opened.  I suspect he juices a little for the role just like all the rest of the actors. I can name a bunch of actors that look amazing for a role then less than a year later when doing the press for the movie are out of shape.

There are no 10/10 Tom Cruise movies, but there are also no 5/10 Tom Cruise movies.

Top Gun sucks, such a boring movie.  I don't know why so many people like it so much.  The new one (Mav) was good though.

They are like bodybuilders, they don't look year-round like they look on the screen.

Who cares, his movies don’t have the “woke” agenda to them and he stays away from politics in general

He makes movies to entertain and that’s what he’s going
