How old are you? I’m 43 and never had any issues with spicy until a few years ago. Now it will bother me a bit and I have GERD.

Could try a high quality probiotic like seed.

I've noticed I get the bloat after eating now pretty much all the time.

Try pepto for three days. The stuff is the most powerful stomach reliever. Then start eliminating anything you suspect. Mine was milk products and acid from oranges. Sometimes it takes a week off from something to get relief. Look into  your supplements too. Magnesium can fuck up your stomach too.

Didn't you just post last year you are overweight and borderline diabetic?  If so, that can be one reason.  Gastroperisis (I probably spelled that wrong) is a condition where your stomach doesn't empty properly or completely.  This can lead to those symptoms you have.  Blood sugar levels can trigger this.  You can eat super clean and still jack your levels up without knowing it.  Have you measured/monitored your A1C and levels in the morning for a while?

Are you taking fiber with every meal?

You may need to rethink what you think healthy food is too.

Sauerkraut. Not caned. The ones that come in the jar or bag cold. Best probiatic there is. Have some with every meal....

Probiotics are beneficial bacteria, and prebiotics are food for these bacteria. Eating foods or supplements containing both can help balance your gut.

Go carnivore and then slowly introduce other foods to see which ones you can tolerate. Or just stay carnivore

Pretty much everyone has gut problems as they age. Just one more reason why getting old sucks.

I think I fucked myself up dieting and competing for 15 months straight and then eating anything I wanted afterwards

No spices, no salt, no mustard, no coffee and most importantly no preservatives(which is found in nearly every packed food item).
Try blending raw eggs with unripe bananas and some unheated honey. Only the best quality of goods is good enough so be prepared to dish out the monies.

Coconut cream & papaya may help too.

I can't say these are causing the bloat but they are not good for you to eat.

Also, artificial sweeteners and sugar alcohols (erythritol for example) are known to cause gut issues.  Check to see if any foods you eat contain them.

Have you recently eaten actual shit, licked a prostitute's ass, or swam in filthy seas? Possibly all 3? Get checked for a Helicobacter pylori bacterial infection. I had it and it gave me all those symptoms. Apparently, around 40% of people in the UK have it, many without knowing. Similar percentage in the US.
