OMG He endorsed Trumpy!  OMG!!!

RFK Jr endorsed Trumpy.  What a momentous occasion.  Trumpy is RFK Jr's second choice in a field of .....   umm.....  hang on...

*checks notes*

..in a field of only TWO candidates.  He chose Trumpy after Harris said no thanks.

Good thing Ross Perot isn't running or RFK Jr would still be trying to choose.
Suppose if he had supported Kuntmala, you'd be singing a different tune.

No, because I knew that would never happen.

Politics is a popularity game, but I trust RFK about as much as I'd trust Pence. Interesting guy.....says a lot of things that resonate(lately) but a bit conflicted to be touted as some big mover and shaker IMO.

If he moves 3-5% to Trump that could have great impact.

I would not say he's not trustworthy, what he did took guts.  I don't think ideally he wants to side with the Republican party, but the left forced his hand. He genuinely believes what he says, and the way he described the current democratic party is spot on.

RFK Jr. is so 'weird,' he may turn off some Trump voters. It is questionable whether he will help or hurt Trump's chances of winning the election.

VP Harris turned him down when he asked for a meeting while he was shopping his options. She's too smart to align herself with a nut job. Trump promised him a cabinet seat... LOL, guess RFK Jr. does not know that Trump famously doesn't keep his promises.

Maybe RFK Jr.'s confliction is a result of a prior heroin addiction or a brain eating worm, or both.

He's never said the intentions of his request other than "wanting to talk to everybody".

He's also not a nut at all, and she's not really smart.

It didn’t take guts.  It took desperation.  It’s not like there were 5 candidates and he chose one that was unpopular.  He ran to one candidate because his first choice rejected him.

Now between him and Trumpy and Vance …. that poor brain worm is going to starve.

Imagine, if you will, a Kennedy endorsing Trump in exchange for favors which will likely never materialize. Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s siblings disapprove of him because he is so unbelievably loony tunes. He is an outcast from his own close-knit family. This says a lot about his character, or lack thereof.

But in his defense, a worm did eat his brain… so there is that. LOL!

Do you have any evidence of what the discussion was to be?

The democrats do this to those they are done with or don't want in power - did it to Bernie, RFK Jr, and now Biden.  It's the playbook.  Not very democratic though.

Right. I'd be singing a sad song, because having anything to do with RFK Jr. would not be a good move.

Wisely, VP Harris refused to offer him the position he wanted in exchange for his support. Truth be told, she probably did not want his endorsement in the first place because it most likely would have hurt her campaign.

Take notice Trump, you might want to rethink accepting RFK Jr.'s endorsement.

RFK Jr. never was and never will be in power regardless what happens from here on out.

He will likely have a cabinet position if Trump wins, so not sure what you mean.

The discussion was a role in the administration.  That was reported.  He went there and was told no thanks.  Then he ran to Trumpy.

Maybe he will and maybe he won't. No doubt Trump is taking advantage of the few votes RFK Jr. may send his way next November. Trump expects loyalty while he is notoriously disloyal. I am not sure RFK Jr. will be rewarded with a cabinet position if Trump wins.

And if he does not get a position there is nothing, he can do about it since it is a federal crime for a candidate to promise someone a political appointment in exchange for an endorsement. If push comes to shove, Trump will deny he promised RFK jr. a position in exchange for his endorsement. I highly doubt Trump would be dumb enough to have committed anything to record. But then, Trump has made many mistakes when it comes to illegal activity and has seemingly gotten away with it since he is not locked up... although he has been convicted thus far of 34 felony counts.

Cabinet turnover is notably high regardless of who is President. However, Trump's senior executive staff turnover exceeded that of many former Presidents at 92% by the end of his term. Trump had four different chiefs of staff, press secretaries and national security advisors over a four-year period. During this time period, six or seven communication directors resigned.

Christ, I hope I don't spend my senior years worried about politics.
