these days, maybe so.

but its not common from a really good school 8).

Nearly all undergraduate educations are identical in the material taught. The only difference is the perceived status from going to a higher ranked school. Oh, and the fact that they trick you into paying more than a house for it LOL.

I am starting to agree with what Nasser - impressive, because I disagree with most of what Nasser states - said in that interview about this England_1. He is so obnoxious that I don't understand why the guys on the Dorian side didn't try to boot him.

He has accused me of being Suckmymuscle several times now, although a simple IP check can confirm that I am not, and despite the fact that I have already stated that I disagree with the largest part of what Suckmymuscle says.

Although I don't take sides on this Dorian vs Ronnie debate, it is interesting to note that he gets pummeled every time he argues. Poor Dorian having this guy defending him.

That's because you are Sucky.

This confirms it as sucky used to call cutler gay gutler.

Gay is very cut and his waist is the best it's ever been here, but Ronnie is bigger, with rounder muscles and his taper is still as good as Gutler's. No contest.

I have seen 2 versions of the 1999 Ronnie in the Olympia, both of which seem slightly unaccurate to what he truly looked like. One versions looks like he has striations everywhere and the other looks like he is abit softer.
This is why arguments tend to get somewhat tedious when comparing bodybuilder to bodybuilder, if someone had the DVD version of the 99 Olympia and posted it here it would be more accurate.

wrong.

academic vigour is often vastly different between a top school and a not so good school.

not to mention the quality of education is often much better (at least in the sciences) due to much better labs/equipment.

better schools have more funding and are often better in this regard.

the low name schools don't have the same funds coming in as the top tier ones.

it can make a difference.

Highly debatable. Like I said, the material is the same. As far as academic vigor, the only institution I believe that holds true at is MIT and maybe some other schools such as Berkley or Stanford. Overall though it's all about the same. Funding really isn't much of an issue in this context because the majority of funding is going to scholarships. Funding is far more important in research at the post-grad level. Finally, stop using "u" in your words, this is an American board  ;D

And I can tell you that does not do the DVD justice.
Iceman will get the DVD in the next week or so, so he can chime in too.
The resolution is much better than the dailymotion compressed video.
(Not that you don't know that already.)
Those backstage pics that Iceman posted are just more proof
of his condition that year.
There's one point I've been thinking about for awhile that I might as well
bring up now.

I have only seen the night show of the 2003 Olympia and I think by the pictures he
was much more conditioned at the pre-judging. He was so outrageous people just
laughed in amazement. I would like to see the pre-judging of 2003 because I think he smoothed
out alot for the night show already knowing he had it in the bag.
No matter how good he looked though I don't think I can get past the gut he had
that year - no matter how well he hid it (most of the time) on stage.

Chris was/is a great bodybuilder. I think his condition in 1999
was one of his best if not his best. He just looked incredible at that contest.

This confirms it as sucky used to call cutler gay gutler.

Yes, I read him refer to Jay like that in one of his posts and thought it was funny - I've been reading this thread since I registered here, and am currently on page 486. But "Jay Gutler" is something that several people here said. Even John Romano once said that.

Now, let's make a bet. Since you insist that I am him despite me denying it several times, let's make a IP check and see whether I am really him or not. If I am not, then you will delete your account. So are you up for it? ;) Here is my IP:

thats hardly DVD quality yet alone photographic.

example

Although its not as bad as the 1999 Olympia comparisons the lighting and quality of a video can be manipulated, even obscured to the point where the bodybuilders look totally different on video from being on stage.

I think alot of it has to do with the quality of software someone uses to
capture the video from DVD. The video on dailymotion was captured by some cheap/free
software and made the video darker without any tools to lighten, enhance ect.
Here is the difference between the original DVD and the DM footage, although I thought it
was still good enough to post.

Not really a shame considering that several others were more deserving, were unfairly denied. He'd have to stand in line for a Sandow behind others.
