Why would Yates have given false measurements when he claimed that other bodybuilders were lying about their measurements/bodyweight in magazines?

If that doesn't make you think about yates "fake" measurements, what will? They all lie about their measurements.

If yates arms were 22" inches, you are saying that he has bigger arms than Ronnie, Sergio, Arnold, Nasser, Levrone etc. If you really take that as a fact, then make a new thread with the topic as "yates claims to have 22" inch arms" and see how many people put you to shame.

Ronnie cannot match this, not in a million years. Now I know exactly what Menzter was saying when he said Dorian was the prototype for the perfect physique.

You're absolutely right. This is what a perfect physique looks like:

My friend mentioned FLEX Wheeler's claim of a 23.5'' arm at 220 lbs in contest form... Yates laughed and replied that at 295 lbs off-season his arms only barely broke the 20'' mark (20.125'') when he finished a bicep workout. (Apparently Yates was very fastidious about measurements and records)

Yates is hardly the benchmark for arm size, part of his arrogance is to try to talk for others who have more classic physiques (more muscle, better tapers) than the bricklayer.

Want me to scan the article from the January 1993 issue of Bodybuilding Monthly? I have proof. I also attended a seminar in early 93 where he announced those measurements. Obviously he wasn't as small as you like to think he was. Get over it.

lol if dorian's arms were 22 inches, that means Ronnie's must have been about 26.

LOL ::)

you are a moron.

The problem here is that you never make an argument for why Ronnie would "own" Dorian. Yates won the Mr.Olympia with even more ease than Coleman, meaning that he fits what the judges thinkl is the ideal of a Mr.Olympia even better than Coleman.

Ronnie's victory at the 1999 Olympia was pathetic compared to Dorian's victory at the 1995 Olympia. Ronnie defeated a Wheeler who had spilled over and was clearly off in conditioning, whereas Dorian defeated a a career-best Levrone. As further evidence of Dorian's win at the 1995 Olympia being more dominant than Ronnie's at the 1999 Olympia, Dorian defeated Kevin by more points than Ronnie defeated Wheeler in 1999. ;)

Who was Dorian's competition? A 220 lbs Flex Wheeler? Midget Shawn Ray? No back Paul Dillet and Nasser? HAH!!!

  Well, let's see...

  A prime Kevin Levrone

  A prime Flex Wheeler

  A prime Shawn Ray.

Are you denying that a prime Wheeler, Ray, Levrone, Dillet and Nasser are better bodybuilders than Jay, Gustavo and Dexter, Ronnie's main competition during his reign?

And Dorian defeated Ray and Wheelrr when they were at their bests, while Ronnie defeated them iwhen they were past their primes. ;)

A prime Kevin Levrone

I'll give you that.

A prime Flex Wheeler

Flex never brought his A game to the Mr. Olympia. So you can't say Dorian competed against a prime Flex. In my opinion, Flex looked better at the 99 British GP which he lost to Ronnie.

Quote
A prime Shawn Ray.

what year do you consider Shawn Ray's prime b/c he always looked the same every year?

Ronnie competed against a prime Chris Cormier, Jay Cutler, and Dexter Jackson.

um. this has been done a thousand times.

go back to page 1 and start reading.

for a summary, goes like this:

Ronnie has better shape than dorian in most  muscle groups.
Ronnie has a much smaller waist combined with equally wide lats.
this creates a far superior taper.

he also has better quads, chest, arms, delts, glutes hams etc.

which, when combined with better detail in almost all areas except the abs and lower back, give Ronnie the eldge in all but one or two of the mandatories.

he was mass with better aesthetics.

dorian was mass with the aesthetics of a fridge.

and you can clearly see all of this in the visual comparisons:

I love the fact that race & contest politics are ignored, as if every year Yates was actually better than these guys when in fact it's blatantly obvious that in some years there were serious miscarriages of justices in which Yates was in fact trounced. Some of them were robbed of tremendous efforts that should've resulted in wins in fair contests. The IFBB and Weider are accountable to no one, especially given the masses of guillible sycophants here and elsewhere who quite willingly accept "contest ratings" as gospel at the drop of a hat. Funny shit.

Oddly enough... I feel that each of those guys should have at least one Sandow and reducing the total number of the 2 guys this thread is about.
