I have a muscle mag with the 1994 Olympia review and half the magazine talks about why shawn should have won (they even go on about it in the "muscle go round" section).

Other mags I recall reading at the time echoed similar statements.

you should be able see just by looking at the pics and the video posted the other day that it certainly was close.

Sure many personally feel Shawn should have won , because he did present the better overall package that night but again from the judges prospective it wasn't even close it wasn't like Shawn won the muscularity & symmetry round and then lost the contest like Jay did in 01. it wasn't close on paper , three things worked against Shawn that night and durring his career , he is 5'7" and he was about 210lbs and Dorian was the reigning Mr Olympia . sure Dorianw as off from 93 but Shawn wasn't going to beat Dorian EVER weighing fifty-fucking-pounds less only one person could beat Dorian despite the massive weight difference and that was Wheeler .

Hmm facts say otherwise at his best he beat Flex by just 3 points and at his worse he won by just 4 so he was very lucky on both occasions , Ronnie hasn't dominated all of his olympias like Dorian did .

Dorian was bigger than Shawn and thats it in 1994. He had no other real advantages. Even Shawns back double bi was more detailed than Dorian's was in 1994.

Ronnie in 2001 could pretty much match jay from the front, but had a much better back.  In other words, you could make a great argument for him edging Jay out.

You cannot do the same with Dorian/Shawn unless you support the judges ridiculous claim that size = everything, and detail, shape etc do not matter.


in 1994 Dorian could not match this level of quality looking like he did.

All he could do was dwarf this physique with his size.

Most agree that this was not enough to deserve to win in 1994.

So, how you can compare 1994 and 2001 is retarded.

It was no contest Yates won every round unlike 2001 where Ronnie lost both the symmetry & musculaity rounds yet still managed to ' beat ' Cutler by 4 points  and yes this did beat everyone in 94 it was no contest .

You keep insisting it was Shawn's show but whats funny after the prejudging Ray was TRAILING Levrone going into the night show and only ' beat ' Levrone NOT by virtues of his phsyique but his posing. he just barelt closed the deal with Levrone nevermind Dorian. So get a clue before you ( again ) let somone else think for you. I.E. MuscleMag International .

He knew that when he signalled himself being possibly relagated to 2nd place, with his 2 fingers.
