Hulkster - Which version of Ronnie Coleman do you feel is the best. What year do you feel he can take any version of Yates?

ND - Same question.

LMFAO at " lumpiness " is that part of the judging criteria? lumpiness?  at the same weight Ronnie has zero advantage on Yates , Yates has him on thickness & density , width , detail is just as good , and Dorian's lats insert at his waist , Ronnie's do not !! and everyone one of those shots you posted you can't see Ronnie's x-mas tree in the backdouble bicep , with Dorian you can , and not to mention the whole pose in general , Ronnie can't evn do that pose right , he always leans back way to much instead of standing straight up , Dorians shot is textbook from head to toe , his balance & proportion are amazing and remember the judges ask for one leg to be put back so they can see the calf  ;) Dorian has striated glutes , awesome hams , from head to toe Ronnie isn't even in the same ballpark , this backshot is perfect overall , Ronnie's isn't , why? a giant ass that sticks out , underdeveloped calves , no christmas-tree , he can't even do it correctly , I'm sorry sport , keep looking for a pic that can match this one , and good luck .

Why is that construction worker on a bodybuilding stage? ???

ND - Same question.

any year from 1998 to 2001 (when his waist was small and his back super detailed)
with the obvious exception of the 2000 Olympia where he came in holding water

dorian at his very best (93 O)

Ronnie at possibly his very best (99 british grand prix)

dorian gets owned yet again. better arms, better chest, better quads, better vascularity. Two totally different classes.

I have to admit, the 99 Olympia Ronnie looks UNREAL on video - striations everywhere, quads sliced.  I would love to see how the 99 Grand Prix Ronnie must have looked on video - would have smoked anyone.  The pics are unreal. The video must be insane.

I think the 99 grand prix Ronnie (from the pics at least) looks even better than the Arnold Classic.

So Hulkster says 99 Grand Prix Ronnie can "smoke" any version of Yates.

Now ND, which version of Yates would you put against 99 Grand Prix Ronnie?

Here you go, with the 99 British GP video... I hope it's still working

the same can be said about 1994..

ugh.

Ronnie 2002:

hey ND, what was that about a X-mas Tree? ::)

hey, ND what was that about small traps? ::) and by the way, even in 2002 his arms killed dorian's, as you can clearly see.

Dorian gets edged on most of these, I'd say, but I've never seen Ronnie approach this from the front.

(Fvck me, I'm participating.)

Start collecting as many pics from the 99 Ronnie Coleman(any show) in mandatory poses - double biceps, ab/thigh, front lat spread, rear lat spread, front double bi, rear double bi. We are going to settle this once and for all. We await ND's choice for Dozzers greatest year.

check out the lat spread (from 99).

dorian has lats, but mediocre arms chest and quads to go with it.

ronnie has it all.

great lats, not much else (no chest or quad detail of ANY kind. good calves of course)

for the record, I have never seen Dorian appoach stuff like THIS from the front either:

dorian's front double bi could NEVER match this (again, lack of great biceps and quad detail comes back to bite dorian in the ass (or as they say in the UK, bum)

hehe look at colemans chest in that last shot.  It just flattens out whenever he raises his arms.
We work with being, but non-being is what we use.

dorian's quads look great from the side:

but, surprise surprise!!

Ronnie's are better!:

from the arnold classic.

The more you look at it, the more you realize that Ronnie beats Dorian in EVERY way except:

-abs,
-calves
-lower back.

THATS IT.

Nothing else.

not taper
not detail
not quads
not upper back
not arms
not chest
not vascularity

don't even try and say that Dorian had a better chest than ronnie:

not even close in the pec department.

Keep posting mandatories. When ND chimes in we'll photoshop them together and scale them down for comarison. Make sure they are 99 Ronnie though. No cheating.

Rules for this contest:

*The pics showing each competitor must be mandatory poses.
*They must be contest pics from any contest held that year. 99 for Coleman, Yates ?
*Offseason/photo/training pics will not count.

Post as many pics as possible representing your athlete in their best year and I will scale them down and photoshop them together. The greatest Mr. O of all time will be determined once and for all!

This is a great idea. However, I'm not sure it will come to a unanimous conclusion. ;D
