ND, as a lover of classical physiques like Labrada and Paris,
Why do you not admire the classic taper of Ronnie as compared to Dorian?
You can post all the lat spread shots you want with Yates crunching up his waist to make it look small, but the facts are his shoulder to waist Ratio was PITIFUL if he were to stand next to the Arnold Classic Ronnie onstage.
Secondly, why do you not admire the fantastic arm shape or quad shape of ronnie over dorian?
Thirdly, why do you not admire the presence of deep cuts on the peak Ronnie as compared to Dorian?
Fourthly, why do you not admire the presence of great vascularity on the peak Ronnie as compared to Dorian?
Answer:
Because you are BIASED!!
I think it is safe to say the following:
Dorian had advantages on SMALL, MINOR bodyparts such as calves and abs over Ronnie.
When it came to the BIG STUFF (like:
-overall taper
-quads
-arms
-pecs
He lost out to Ronnie big time.
Does anyone really think that Dorian had a better taper than Ronnie?
probably not.
The same can be said about all the other things.
Dorian's advantages were SMALL over Ronnie.
Ronnie's advantages were HUGE
Well let me answer you and your rhetoric
1) why don't I admire Ronnie's classic taper? lol first of all you cling to this idea that Ronnie has a classic type phsyique , he doesn't and never has , Ronnie does have a very wide back coupled with a ( at one time ) small waist , you need a little more than that to have a classic physique , in fact Ronnie is wider than ANYONE of the bodybuilders who are considered to have classic phsyiques , not one of them could match his taper , if you want to get techincal Dorian & Ronnie's backs are both overdeveloped in terms of lat width , remember having a strong bodypart can be a weakness , Paris , Labrada , Reeves , Cormier , Zane , Padilla , none of them had the extreme lat width that Ronnie has but they still pocess excellent tapers , you're under the delusion that Dorian has no taper , this is another one of your retarded statements , seriously , dude we've etablished that Dorian when he competed at 257lbs or higher had thick obliques but look at Yates when he was at 240lbs his waist & hips were small and his back was wide , he had great taper ,
NOT as great as Ronnies but in no way poor , Dorian had one of the sports widest backs and even at 257lbs when his waist was held tight his taper is awesome , and if you'll notice Ronnie does the standing relaxed shot , he doesn't do this pose correctly either , he holds his arms way out to the sides instead on the traditional pose , if Dorian did it Ronnie style his lats would flair out even more , so for you to keep insisting he has no taper is just absurd .
2) I do admire Ronnie's biceps , they're awesome no if ands or buts about , his biceps have always been outstanding even from day one , I don't admire his triceps , I don't think they're great , his sidehead is totaly washed out as of late and when it was sharp its thin like Boyer Coe , and his forearms are well developed but I don't admire the shape , and Ronnie quads are among the biggest ever but as of late they're very ugly aestheticly , they looked great at the 01 ASC awesome sweep , great cuts , awesome hams , glutes are way overdeveloped even at their smallest , and everytime I look at his legs I can't help to notice his calves or lack there of , at times the balance between the quads & calves were better but they're still lacking
3) Ronnie has deep cuts and Dorian doesn't ? lol this is where you're just insane , how do you make this leap into the abyss if absurdity? Dorian was a freak with deeply cut muscles , the depth in his back was insane , his traps were deeply cut and well as the whole back , his whole midsection had awesome cuts , his abs , serattus and intercostales were all deeply cut and shredded , as well as his delts , even his quads which you claim have no cuts are cut , the only potential problem is is upper quad seperation , it seems overdeveloped and it looked worse after he tore it ,his hams were great , calves are among the best ever , you just lose steam when you say he has not cuts
4) vascularity? get the hook , talk about micromanaging , you're grasping at straws if you see this as an advantage
Again this is all
fucking-moot lets say for a New York second that Ronnie does have all of these advantages , they didn't do dick for him when he got beat by Dorian
eight times , its all redundant , Dorian at his peak vs Ronnie at his peak , NO contest !! Dorian beat Ronnie at his absolute worse shape in 1997 , Dorian was past his prime , his gut was huge , his tricep was torn , his bicep was torn , as well as his quad , and he beat Ronnie and it wasn't even close , Ronnie was 9th , he beat Ronnie in 1996 and he was 6th , still not even close , and seriously what the fuck gave you the impression that with improved conditioning that he had in 1998 be could even come close to a Dorian Yates with conditioning on par with ( or perhaps better ) a 1998 Ronnie , and not one single torn muscle ? how did you come to this conclusion ? in his best Olympia apperance he just barely won , 3 points , thats it , he just barely beat Flex by the skin of his teeth and he was at his absolute finest Olympia apperance and he just barely got the job done , now Dorian who absolutey dominated the feild in 1993 including a much sharper version of Flex that Ronnie faced , and Ronnie is supposed to magically beat Dorian ? get serious he just barely finshed the job with Flex , Dorian was in anoher league even if you don't agree or like it , its a fact from 1992-1997 NO ONE could touch him , except a 1993 Arnold Classic Flex Wheeler .
