ND, don't be hypocritical. In 2002, Coleman looked amazing before the show. He dwarfed Dorian and even Dorian knows it. Dorian was king in 1993; however a dcade later and that is not true. For one, you are posting a shot of Dorian in B&W which accentuates every nook and crevice. Don't try to photoshop Ronnie pics, because you know damn well it is not the same as film. Then, you post numerous scans of Dorian from pre-contest 1993. His legs had zero cuts. His upper body is awesome, but by contest day he was not even close to being that full. Ronnie walked out onto the stage as hard or harder in 2003 with twenty pounds more muscle. In 2002, the pics Matt C showed, he was 290 and hard weeks before the show. He f__ked up his dieting and came in flat as a pancake. Thus, if you are talking alltime shape, pit Dorian 1993 versus Coleman pre-contest 2002. Then it is clearly shown that Coleman murders him. I am just amazed that either of you thinks you are owning each other. Each bodybuilder has their fans; last I counted more people agree with Hulkster than you ND. However, Dorian has his fervent followers and an opinion is an opinion. You have yours and Hulkster has his; thus, why are we continuing arguing over a moot point. If you want to scan rare pics and help us appreciate the greatness of your man, cool. However, give props to Coleman when he deserves. Hell, Hulkster even gave props to Dorian when he did the back double bi pic at 228 as it is indisputably an awesome shot. Hell, to make this party more fun, post the real Mr. O from three weeks before a contest (Dennis James) and appreciate his incredible thickness.
Your posts confuse me , they really do , I honestly think you're seeing what you want to see , I looked at the pictures pre-contest of the 2002 Olympia and I said
he looks good
what more to you want from me? he got his props , you may think he looks amazing in that series , I don't , I think he looks good , and while on the topic of giving Ronnie props , I give them , I don't know if you're new to this debate but I've said many times Ronnie 1995/95/97/98 looks really good , 2001 ASC he looked fantastic ( even with a gut ) but post that he doesn't in my opinion , 2003 he looked amazing for all the wrong reasons , I've said a boat load of times 250lb Ronnie is so much better than 287lb Ronnie , you know what I was scratching my head in 1993 when Dorian beat Flex , when I wanted Flex to beat him and I didn't bitch one bit when Ronnie beat Flex in 1998 so to say I'm biased is laughable , I wanted Flex to win both times , but he didn't and I'm mearly commenting on the way things happened NOT the way I wanted them to happen
And when did I used a photoshopped pic? if you're referring to the one of Dorian and Ronnie both doing the front double bicep shot I didn't create that or post it , I take it for what it is , a little glimpse into what the two
may have looked like at those points & times , I know its not 100% accurate but these debates aren't either , its nothing more than a tool for use to comment on while using this board for what its for , to talk about gossip & opinions of bodybuilders
While on the topic of Dorian not being as full as he was at the 1993 Olympia verses the Kevin Horton pics of Dorian precontest at 269lbs I say , he was 98% as full at the Olympia as he was in those pics , he was 269lbs in the pics and 257lbs on contest day , thats just 12 pound weight difference , its a lot closer than you think ! and I'm sorry bro but no way in hell is Ronnie 290lbs in those precontest pics in 2002 , in fact Matt says hes " around " 275lbs thats more buyable than 290lbs and Dorian in 1993 Olympia is harder than Ronnie in those pics , look at ronnie doing the X-mas tree shot in that series and look at the one of Dorian from the contest its not even close
Now you counted more Coleman fans than Dorian fans in this debate lol big deal you and Hulkster are obsessed with the notion that if you have the majority opinion its right , its not by virtue of being so subjective , and I don't need a single person to agree with me to feel my opinion is valid , but its nice that some people share my veiw , and Ronnie is the current Mr Olympia and this works in his favor as far as a fan base if concerned because to a lot of guys hes the top dog , and with the internet , it helps Ronnie gain much more exposure and a fan base , hey a lot of people think Dorian is great and just don't want any part of this nonsense , so in the end , its just opossing opinions
Now on the topic of " owning " now its very hard to own someone when its such a subjective sport but there are times when it applies , like Hulkster will say " Dorian never had any detail in his upper back " and I post a picture contrary to that , like the one with the green backround or the pic of him at 228lbs , then you can say " I own you bitch " or I posted a pic of Yates and he comments " Yates has tits " and I posted a pic of Ronnie from 1998 Mr Olympia with gyno , thats pretty much an appropriate time for an " owning " and I feel I've gotten him a lot more than me
And if you have read any of these debates you'll know I've said time and time again its a moot-point , the whole thing , thats why I started this thread , because people are sick of it and I was willing to say " lets leave well enough alone " he didn't want to and so be it , and here we are , the only reason I even bother to respond at times is Hulkster likes to quote me out of context , he feels if he can convince others on how crazy my opinions are they'll agree with him and he in some diluted way has won in something so subjective as an opinion on a bodybuilding board , I've told him to quote me correctly & in the context in which I said it , but he can't , couple that with him posting the worse pics of Dorian he can to the best pics of Ronnie he can and once again , he feels this is the proof he needs , when you resort to these measures , it makes your opinion suspect
Now here are the facts , Dorian & Ronnie are both great bodybuilders , both started off great and have gotten consistantly worse , both have strenghts & weaknesses , both trained very hard , both made a mark on the sport , they met eight times and Dorian won all eight , and thats where it ended , it picked up naturally on a board like this and its unfolded into this , in the end its all speculation & fantasy who would beat who , perhaps Dorian would beat Ronnie , perhaps Ronnie would beat Dorian , who knows

I sure don't , but I have a strong
opinion on who would .
